Scope and date
Regulation (EU) 2024/3015 prohibits products made with forced labour from being placed or made available on the EU market and from being exported from the EU. It applies from 14 December 2027, while selected institutional provisions apply earlier.
Why textiles need product-level evidence
Apparel supply chains combine fibres, yarn, fabric, wet processing, assembly and subcontracting across multiple jurisdictions. A supplier questionnaire alone cannot reliably connect a risk finding to the products, batches and facilities affected.
A defensible evidence model
- Map supplier, facility and tier relationships to the relevant products.
- Record source, date, confidence and ownership for every relationship.
- Keep audit, grievance, remediation and purchasing-practice evidence linked but access-controlled.
- Support rapid product scoping, hold, withdrawal and authority response.
- Preserve historical versions instead of overwriting prior declarations.
